Mira the Nurse Shark - Commission

Commissioned artwork for a friend. Mira is a nurse shark and ex-olympic swimmer, born in Russia during difficult times. Since her escape to the West she has found work as a member of bar-staff at Centre Parks, but dreams of eventually becoming a life-guard. Shy around new people but a totally adorable little punk with a love for bright colours...

A few different pieces of character art were used for reference and I tried out some new techniques - digitally overlaid the original pencil sketch with colour using ClipStudio. Mira is an original character owned by her creator.
