The Royal Caverns - Batfolk Clan

The Royal Caverns is an ancient aristocracy, ruled by noble families of greater horseshoe batfolk – their every need and whim cared for by flocks of their lesser brethren. Once the Kings of the Caverns ruled over all batfolk with the iron fist of their noctule army. That is, until one fateful bat united the Clans and rose up against their oppressive rulers – or so goes the tale of The Needle in the Bobbin.

Today, the Royal Caverns still hold great influence amongst the clans, however their inherited wealth and power wains with every season; frittered away by countless generations of the noble families. Their roosts grow fewer as the horseshoe clans retreat deeper and deeper into the dusty gloom of the enormous caverns.
